Naila Esmail, DPM, ABMSP
Dr. Naila Esmail is a podiatric physician and surgeon in practice since 2008.
Dr. Esmail attended the University of Karachi, Pakistan, where she received a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1988. She then attended Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, FL., where she graduated with a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 2008. Dr. Esmail’s completed her postgraduate education in 2010, with a three-year podiatric medicine & surgery residency at Westchester General Hospital in Miami, FL.
Dr. Esmail has received certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association. She is licensed to practice podiatric medicine and surgery in Florida, as well as well as medicine, surgery, obstetrics & gynecology in Pakistan.
Dr. Esmail is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA), the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), and the American Diabetes Association (ADA).
Since 1997, Dr. Esmail has volunteered her time improving the quality of life and educating communities on proper nutrition, well-being, and health maintenance for various community organizations and marginalized individuals in Florida.
Teresa Contreras, MS, DPM
Dr. Contreras attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, where she earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science. She then attended Barry University School Of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores where she earned a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine, and graduated with honors in 2014.
Evidence-based medicine and the latest advancements in podiatric technology support Dr. Contreras’ specialties in chronic wound care and diabetic pathologies and lower limb revascularization, limb salvage, gait analysis, vascular disease, and muscle-tendon-transfer for wound prevention. She is affiliated with North Shore Medical Center in Miami, FL.
Annual domestic and international mission trips, and speaking both English and Spanish, helps Dr. Contreras relate well to patients of different backgrounds and races, and treating them holistically.
As an animal lover, Dr. Contreras lives with three dogs, six cats and a Quacker parrot. She loves flying and recently achieved her private pilot license. She also enjoys taking long walks and playing the piano.
